	abstract = {By using adequate software tools and carrying out research on diverse numerical models, a reliable numerical model of a bus framework, suitable for Finite Element Method analysis and/or simulation of the rollover test, was built. The analysis results achieved, subsequently confirmed with real test models, were used for framework design. By applying computer-aided technology and conducting tests, development costs were considerably reduced and the time required for developing an adequate design shortened. The process was carried out in several stages. In the first, we developed a numerical model for simulating conditions occurring during the actual rollover test.
